Swimming With Henna

Swimming with henna in your hair can cause henna colour and hair dyes to fade and become dull; this is due to the presence of chlorine in the water. If you’ve used henna with metallic salts in it ie a  pre mixed compound henna hair colour,  there is a danger that your hair can turn green. Our henna hair colour products are 100% pure henna and 100% pure indigo and they do not contain any  metallic salts or other colour fixatives which some manufacturers use to market different henna hair colour shades. We do not add chemicals to our products.

To protect your hair from chlorine, try wetting your hair and smothering it with our cold pressed vitamin rich  Amla Hair Oil  which is naturally high in vitamin C. For extra protection, use a swimming cap. You could also  apply a tablespoon of hair conditioner to wetted hair instead which is fine as long as you’re comfortable using hair conditioner .
