Have look through our information tabs on the left of this page, and below,  to find out more about pure henna and how it works. Henna comes from the leaves of the henna plant ( lawsonia inermis)  which are harvested and then  dried, crushed, and powdered. The pure henna powder is mixed with water to form a paste which can be applied to your hair for  half an hour, one hour, or longer, depending on your preference and desired colour.  Henna will produce more dramatic ,fiery, colour on lighter hair starting colours such as blonde or grey hair; on brown hair starting colours you’ll get a deep auburn, and on darker hair colours, the colour change will be subtle rather than dramatic. Your end hair colour result will be unique to you. henna blends well with exiting hair colour so even if you have uneven colour to start with you’ll still get a well blended natural hair colour result – try it ! If you want to darken your henna hair colour, follow with indigo  to get brown or black. Indigo powder is also mixed with water to form a paste which you apply to your hair.

I recently purchased your Moroccan henna and I am glad I did.
It was finely milled and easy to apply.
I mixed it with hot hibiscus tea, applied it straight away to my hair and washed it off after a couple of hours.
It covered my greys in a natural copper colour which slightly darkened after three days. It also left my hair beautifully conditioned.
Last but not least I also liked the scent of the Moroccan henna compared to other hennas I tried.
I have been using henna for four years and I found this Moroccan henna to be excellent.

I’ve been using henna on and off for a few years. I had used Renassiance henna in the past and have always been impressed with the quality of the henna. After growing out my natural hair colour for over two years I decided that I missed the vibrant colour and condition henna used to give. As my hair has a tendency to turn burgundy I decided to try the Moroccan henna this time. This was easy to apply, well sifted, and easy to rinse out. It gave a wonderful rich copper red result with a lot of warmth. Just what I was looking for.

I’ve been using henna from Renaissance Henna for a few years now and I can say I have never been disappointed with any products I have ordered. I’m a natural redhead whose colour is fading with age 😞 Using Henna gives my hair back it’s vibrancy and makes it feel thicker and stronger. Thank you for an amazing service Sabrina. Much Love, Tania x

I have been using Renaissance henna for a very long time and was always happy with results, I have been naughty and tried another brand but I was hugely disappointed so now I vowed to never look anywhere else. I have used the Moroccan henna with the hibiscus also sold on this site and oh my God, the result was fantastic because I have a lot of white hair, so the hues and the colour variation was unbelievable, even my hairdresser commented on how beautiful and healthy my hair looks and admired the colour as well and asked me not to change it ever because it’s the most beautiful and rich colour he’s ever seen and I couldn’t agree more. Sabrina is such an asset and her advice is always spot on. Thank you so much.

I love the fact it takes Hardly any time to achieve the colour release, I love the fact it hardly looses colours when you rinse!! It’s a beautiful burgundy on my darkish brown hair! I just wish you sold it in a 200g size packet as I do need 200g for my hair which is quite long 🙁 but for a lovely henna like this i can continue to buy 2 packets until you decide to sell a larger one!!

this is the best henna I’ve tried, for my hair (quite dark brown) it’s perfect. It’s a lovely deep dark red, the least orange of all the hennas I’ve tried. Last time I touched up my roots, I didn’t even bother following up with indigo. I hope you never run out of this!!
